Florent Malouda (born June 13, 1980 in Cayenne, French Guiana) is a football player. He is a midfielder, playing for Olympique Lyonnais and the French national team. Malouda is married to a Brazilian named Florencia, and they have one child, a son named Aaron born on November 30, 2005.

Before joining Olympique Lyonnais, Malouda played 57 games in the French Ligue 1 championship with Châteauroux and 92 games with Guigamp where perhaps his undeniable talent first began to shine.

He has 22 caps with the French national team, scoring 3 goals.

Malouda was included in the French squad for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. The French left wing has started all but the first game of the tournament. He has made a very good impact on the French national team. He won a controversial penalty for France in the World Cup final in 2006 against Italy, which was converted into a goal by Zinedine Zidane.
