Florence Christian School

Florence Christian School is a private Christian school located in Florence, SC. It was established in 1972 by the Florence Baptist Temple. With over 600 students it is one of the largest private Christian schools in eastern South Carolina . Florence Christian School is accredited by the South Carolina Independent School Association. According to the school website the purpose of Florence Christian School is “...to assist your family in training your children intellectually, physically, spiritually, and socially toward maturity and responsible independence. We view our school as an adjunct to the home and church...not a substitute.”

[edit] Admissions
In order to be considered for admission to Florence Christian School you must first submit an immunization certificate and also a copy of your birth certificate to the school office. Students already enrolled at FCS will be given preferential treatment in reenrollment. Empty spaces will be filled in the order of Florence Baptist Temple members, families with children already enrolled, and all others on first come, first serve basis. After being accepted for enrollment, parents and the student will be interviewed by the administration to see if the student is a good candidate for admission.

Jim Berry is currently the principal of the school, Brad Bochette is the Assistant Principal for grades 7-12, Wanda Dittman is the Assistant Principal for grades k3-6, and Jimmy Miles is the Academic Principal.

Florence Christian School currently offers tennis, volleyball, soccer, cheerleading, basketball and football.

Florence Christian School currently offers Choir, Ensemble, Drama, Yearbook, Student Government, Beta Club as extracurricular activities for students.
