Floreat, Western Australia

Floreat is a suburb located in the affluent "western suburbs" of Perth, Western Australia, located within the Town of Cambridge and 6 km west of the CBD. Its postcode is 6014. Floreat is a very leafy locale with the most expensive housing located in the western section which is bordered by bushland on three sides. Architecture in Floreat ranges from californian bungalows, art deco homes to newer mansions and designer homes.

[edit] Perry Lakes Reserve
Located within the suburb is the Perry Lakes Reserve. The reserve is 80 ha in size and includes Perry Lakes parkland, East Lake, West Lake and Alderbury Reserve. Perry Lakes is a big sporting complex comprising of a Rugby Union park, a sports science centre, Alderbury sports ground, a skate park, indoor basketball and Perry Lakes Stadium. The Perry Lakes Stadium and sporting facilities were constructed for the 1962 Commonwealth Games hosted in Perth.
