[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:11.2.05-claypool.jpg)
|
Thanks for uploading Image:11.2.05-claypool.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that your image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If your image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why your image was deleted. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Genidealingwithfairuse 22:10, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Oprichnikdog.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Oprichnikdog.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit] Safari user template
Hey there, Fliptopsean. While I think your edit to the Safari user box looked better, I believe it violated the fair use terms of the image. As such, I've reverted graphic change, but kept the colour modifications you made. Sound good? --Brad Beattie (talk) 11:15, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, sorry about that. I just don't see how thats wrong, the Firefox one seems to be tolerated. But if you must. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Fliptopsean (talk • contribs).
Take a look at the licensing on Image:Firefox-logo.png vs Image:Apple Safari.png. One indicates free use in this case, one is restricted only to fair use on the article page. --Brad Beattie (talk) 01:20, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Wake island demo.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Wake island demo.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Thank you. Fritz Saalfeld (Talk) 15:57, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
