Flinders is a new railway station proposed to replace Dunmore (Shellharbour) railway station (though not Dunmore crossing loop). The new station is closer to a new residential development. By comparison, Dunmore has and continues to have very little residential development.

Flinders station has a side platform with near street level access, connected by a road overbridge to the other side. It therefore has close to Easy Access for wheelchairs.
