Flight of the Eagle

Flight of the Eagle is the English title for the 1982 Swedish movie Ingenjör Andrées luftfärd, starring Max von Sydow, Sverre Anker Ousdal, and Göran Stangertz as Andrée, Fränkel, and Strindberg. It is based on Per Olof Sundman's novelization of the true story of an ill-fated attempt to fly over the North Pole in a hydrogen balloon by Salomon August Andrée in 1897.
