Flicker (real name Miles Woodward) was the original bass guitarist of Welsh rock band Manic Street Preachers.
The band formed under the name Betty Blue in Blackwood in 1986. The original line up was James Dean Bradfield (lead guitarist), Flicker (bass guitarist), Sean Moore (drummer and James' cousin), and Nicky Wire (second guitarist).
Flicker left the band in early 1988 claiming that the band were moving away from their punk roots.
