definition there had been wasn't much clear. But, from what i understand, a flashing arrow isn't a plot device. so i removed flashing aroow being a plot device from definition. however, plot device article still links here.

a google search doesn't yield much except this article. is this a well known phrase? are there external references that can be used to verify and clarify its meaning? --Calm 17:46, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
