I think it is a bit of a stretch to say that this is THE Maori flag. It is the flag of ONE particular group within Maoridom. MadMaxDog 06:00, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Yes, but according to List of New Zealand flags, it is the unoffical Maori flag, while in Flag of New Zealand, it says the flag was selected in a 1990 Maori flag competition. The actual offical flags of the King of Maori movement are either Te Paerangi or Te Paekinga but neither are on wikipedia.--HamedogTalk|@ 08:27, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
