[edit] Chart history
"Flaunt It" debuted at number three on the Australian ARIA singles chart in February 2006, before going to number two and then number one the following week, where it stayed for four weeks. The band replaced the Bob Sinclar single "Love Generation" at number one, but was knocked off the top spot by the Youth Group song "Forever Young". "Flaunt It" stayed in the top 10 of the Australian charts for 22 consecutive weeks, which gave it the title of the longest top 10 charting single by an Australian artist. Beating Silverchair's Tomorrow in 1994-1995, which spent a total of 20 consecutive weeks in the top 10. With no major record companies wanting to sign Flaunt It, DJ's Grant Smilie and Ivan Gough launched their own independent company "Bimbo Rock". Hoping to only sell a few hundred records in Australia, the single went onto amass sales of 130,000 copies.
Following on from the success they found in Australia, "Flaunt It" was released in New Zealand the week beginning May 29, 2006, debuting at number 17 on the national New Zealand charts and quickly jumping into the top 3 in its second week on the charts.
At the 2006 ARIA Awards, it was confirmed that Flaunt It has been signed to be released in Europe. "Flaunt It" has been more successful than The Veronicas' smash-hit "4ever", which didn't receive a nomination for Highest Selling Single. This single is expected to be named No.1 single of the year.
