Flat River is a river in Michigan that runs through Montcalm County, Ionia County, and Kent County, flowing into the Grand River at Lowell. Two historic covered bridges cross the river. One in Vergennes Township, Kent County in Fallasburg County Park a few miles north of Lowell. The other, a few miles to the northeast in adjacent northwest Keene Township, Ionia County, is known as "White's Bridge". Both bridges are on small county roads.

It is the river named in the song "Sad Ballad of Jack Haggerty" aka "Flat River Girl."
