Flag of the Kyrgyz Soviet Socialist Republic

This flag was adopted by the Kyrgyz SSR on December 22, 1952.

Prior to this, the flag was red with gold Cyrillic characters in the top-left corner, КЫРГЫЗ ССР (Kyrgyz SSR) and КИРГИЗСКАЯ ССР (Kyrgyzskaja SSR) in a serif font.
