The flag of Norfolk Island was adopted on October 21, 1980. It depicts the Norfolk Island Pine (Araucaria heterophylla).

It is somewhat similar to the flag of Canada, with its use of only two colours and the use of a prominent local symbol in the middle. It also has 1:2 size ratio. Because the central panel is not half the width of the flag (square), it is not technically a Canadian pale.
