Fitzroy Crossing (Kimberley region of Western Australia, 400 km east of Broome and 300 km west of Halls Creek. It is approximately 2524 km from the state capital of Perth.

The current population in 2006 of the Fitzroy Crossing area is approximately 1500 people, about 60% of whom are Indigenous Australians. Cattle stations are the main economic occupation.
