[edit] Concerns about misleading information

The first line states that Fishponds is a quiet, safe and attractive suburb. As a resident of Fishponds road, I beg to differ. Quiet it is most definitely not. Fishponds Road is used as one of the main commuting roads in to and out of Bristol and as such, is extremely busy with numerous cars, trucks and lorrys. I have lived in here for just over two years now and I know of 6 car crashes just outside my house. I can recall at least 4 others further up towards the University Campus. Fishponds has also been an area filled with building works recently, with the construction of a Lidl supermarket,a new block of flats and countless road works. All of this has made Fishponds anything but quiet!

Its safety is questionable too. I recall a few stabbings, a few people being attacked outisde the numerous pubs (a pub riot at the Full Moon in 2004 certainly sticks in my mind) and there have been many muggings too. These muggers have targeted the student community and some have even taken place in broad daylight.

I dont mean to paint a bad picture of Fishponds, but to call it quiet and safe is just misinformation and misleading.

Should we not make this aware in the article? 82.40.163.92 16:01, 9 March 2006 (UTC) Adam

[edit] Fishponds

Hi. I think there will always be differences of opinion about what is and isn't 'safe', 'quiet' or 'attractive'. Whether you agree with them or not, these are very subjective words and probably not suited to an encyclopaedia such as Wikipedia. I'm happy to have a look at the wording later today.
