Fish Nominations for The Fish Portal
This is the nominations page for the "Selected fish of the month" in the Fish Portal. Here is how it works:
- Scope: the article has to be about a particular fish preferably a species article. But in some cases, a genus or family or even informal group of fish (such as dwarf cichlid) will do fine too. Other articles (fish in culture, fishkeeping, etc.) belong to the "Selected article of the month".
- To nominate a fish article, simply just add the article in the nominations list
-
- * Each person may nominate up to THREE articles (no more than three articles in the list can be nominated by the same person)
- * If you have been edited or contributed extensively to the article yourself, please note that it is a "self-nomination"
- To vote for a fish article, just add your name in the "Votes" section next to the fish
-
- * Each person may vote for ONE fish at a time
- * You may change your vote anytime
- * You are not allowed to vote for your self-nominated article
- To select the fish of the month
-
- * The fish with the most vote will be presented in the portal at the beginning of the month and it will be removed from the nominations list
- * If two or more fishes got the same amount of votes, the fish higher on the list will be selected
- * The Template:fishportal will be posted in the fish article page to congratulate and show appreciation. See instruction how to use the template here
- * When the fish you voted was selected, you may (and should) vote for a new one
