Fishtrap Lake

Fishtrap Lake is located in eastern Kentucky.It is one of the larger lakes in the state, and boasts the most polular and populous Hybrid Bass populations in the state,(Ranked #1) and has came close to setting the Kentucky State Record, with documented Hybrid Bass being caught weighing up to 18lbs. (State Record: 20lbs, 8 oz.) The Lake is manmade, by damming the Levisa Fork River, and is administered by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The tailwaters of the lake are stocked with trout monthly, boast 30-40lbs Striped Bass, and have produced record Flathead and BlueCatfish up to 50lbs. In the spillway of the lake, there also are common carp being documented weighing 40lbs.
