Should Firenze and the other centaurs be included in the 'Harry Potter animals' category? After all, centaurs are classified as Beasts (they rejected Being status, as did the merpeople). neatnate 03:02, 17 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Perhaps within the context of the fictional universe they are classified as beasts, but here on Wikipedia I don't think centaurs would generally fall under that category. Centaur is under Category:Legendary creatures, for example, which looks more inclusive. I'm taking this article out of the animals category. Bryan 07:41, 6 Feb 2005 (UTC)
