Fireflight is an American Christian rock band. The band originated in Eustis, Florida in 1999. The band is signed by Flicker Records, and is on a national tour with Kids in the Way.

The band is comprised of 5 members, with lead vocals by Dawn Richardson, Wendy Drennen on bass guitar and vocals, Justin Cox on guitar and background vocals, Glenn Drennen on guitar, and Phee Shorb on drums.

Their debut national album The Healing of Harms was released in July 2006 after the band had been together for over half a decade. The band released an EP in 2004 entitled On The Subject of Moving Forward. Prior to this, though, they put out the album "Glam-rok" on an independant lable.

Fireflight says that their album "hints of emo-core, modern rock, and progressive metal permeate the record". [1]

They claim their sound is "Blindside with a dash of Evanescence," [2] and it bears strong similarities to Inhabited - another Christian rock group with a lead female vocalist.

Their lead single off the first album is You Decide. The song features Josh Brown, and was the top request at tvu music television in August 2006. The song was the second most played song on Christian Rock radio stations according to the September 1, 2006 R&R magazine airplay chart. The song was listed as the #12 Contemporary Christian Music song on the October 14, 2006 chart as played on the Weekend 22.
