Fireball20xl is a comic network, owned and maintained by Bryon Beaubien, a.k.a. Psyguy. The site was launched in late 2002 after the collapse of its predecessor, Dirty Power Incorporated. The network hosts both sprite and drawn comics, each run by one of the site's numerous staff.

Originally formed by Beaubien as a personal site, Jen Irwin became Fireball20xl's first staff member when a link from FB20xl to her Freewebs comic site, Ruins of the Fourth Wall, resulted in her being booted from Freewebs. Beaubien offered to host her comic. As time went on, Fireball20xl acquired several more staff through hiring contests as well as private invitations.

In its youngest days, Fireball20xl was revered as a major resource for game sprites. Eventually, however, Psyguy was forced to remove the entire sprites section due to issues with bandwidth. This dealt a blow to the site traffic, as many had visited merely for the purpose of acquiring sprite sheets. However, the deletion of the sprite archive also contributed to the rise of several other collections, such as those at Ren's Comic Zone.

More recently, sprites have returned to Fireball20xl in the form of The Spriter's Resource, a hosted collection of sprite sheets from a variety of games and platforms. But then they left.

According to the page's advertising section, Fireball20xl currently receives approximately 11,000 hits daily.
