Fire Pro Wrestling 2 (released in Japan as Final Fire ProWrestling: Yume no Dantai Unei!) is a professional wrestling video game in the Fire Pro Wrestling series. It is a direct sequel to 2001's Fire Pro Wrestling. It is important to note that Fire Pro Wrestling 2 is not actually the second game in the series; it is merely the second game to be officially translated into English.

[edit] Roster

Like all games in the Fire Pro series, Fire Pro Wrestling 2 featured a roster composed of actual wrestlers and promotions from around the world, with names, appearances, and logos changed to avoid outright copyright infringement.

[edit] Featured promotions

In addition, there are three groups in the game not based on actual promotions.

  • Freelance
  • Legends
  • Special (characters who are not professional wrestlings or mixed martial artists)

The inclusion of leagues based on World Championship Wrestling and Extreme Championship Wrestling is interesting, as each of those promotions were long defunct by the time Fire Pro Wrestling 2 was released (WCW was purchased by the World Wrestling Federation in March 2001; ECW filed for bankruptcy the following month, but was revived in 2006 by World Wrestling Entertainment as its third "brand").
