[edit] Overview

Formed by several railway arches close to Vauxhall Station, the nightclub has seen many recent innovations and significant gentrification. It is owned by the Orange groupwho also own several other gay nightclubs and venues. A privately owned company, the name Orange derives from a Sunday Night/Monday Morning late night club at London's Prince of Orange Pub in Surray Quays, which relocated to the Viaduct club and subsequently Club Coliseum. After many incarnations and superlative re-inventions, the club returned to the newly fabulized Fire as their the flagship clubnight in 2003. The colorful name has since become the ident of what is undeniably the biggest gay club "brand" since the glory days of Heaven and G-A-Y.

Fire currently operates 3 distinct club environments in its three arches. The main floor remains the heart of the club with an unrivalled sound system and unique art-deco lighting system (rumored to be based on the opening stage of Kylie's Showgirl Tour). The recently opened Mirror Arch is renowned for it's old-skool multi-coloured dancefloor and harder music style. The Electrosexual Room provides an initially more chilled out environment though this generally proves a misnomer as the unrepenting energising music never allows you rest for more than a few minutes.. A 4th Arch (with VIP area) is scheduled to open on New Year's Eve 2006 and the news has already created such a huge buzz of publicity for the club that the owners are already loooking to expand the Orange Empire well outside of Vauxhall....
