Talk:Finger knitting

I thought this as a method to learning to crochet rather than to knit. Am I mistaken? --Jaela 29 June 2005 20:30 (UTC)
- It could well be. It's just something my older brother taught me when I was a kid. Surprised you even found the article. I've considered VFDing it myself. - Vague | Rant July 7, 2005 13:31 (UTC)
It's also good for visual luggage marking. I made a bunch of colorful finger-knitting bits and tied them to the handles of the suitcases. Very helpful when standing exhausted at the conveyor belt. :D -AndromedaRoach 06:56, 12 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Finger knitting does form a crocheted chain. Knitting and crochet are closely related. If you cast on some stitches as for regular knitting, and then unravel it, you'll notice that it's just a crochet chain with loops pulled up through each chain. You can also make a crocheted chain without a hook just by pulling loops up through the slipknot and other loops, but finger knitting is way more fun. Ooglyboo 23:01, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
