Fintry, Dundee

Fintry is an area of Dundee, United Kingdom. Fintry is located in the North of the city with Claverhouse to the West and Whitfield to the East. All streets in Fintry begin with the prefix "fin" with three exceptions in the North of the area - Cheviot Crescent, Grampian Gardens and Amond Way. Amond Way is named after the late PC Trevor Amond who was known in the area for his community work.

Fintry has 6 Schools (2 Nursery Schools and 4 Primary Schools) with a total of 1643 pupils.[citation needed] Fintry is served by bus routes 32, 33, 33A and 33B known as the Fintry Shuttle. The city councillor for the area is the SNP's Joe Fitzpatrick who represents the Longhaugh ward. Fintry is home to the well known pub, the doliphin, which has its own suite.
