Fintona Girls' School is an independent school for girls. The school is located in Balwyn, Melbourne, Victoria in Australia. Fintona accepts local and international students and have a non selective enrolment policy. Fintona was founded in 1896 and has now become a small school with outstanding VCE results.
Fintona includes 4 different teaching sections: the Early Learning Center (ELC), Junior School (Prep-Year 4), Middle School (Year 5-Year 8) & Upper School (Year 9-Year 12). Fintona's ELC curriculum is to do with the Reggio Emilia Philosophy whilst Prep-Year 6 take part in the Primary Years Program (PYP).
Fintona is a small sized school and aims to focus on teacher to student whilst in small classes. And because of this, Fintona is able to achieve astounding results.
Fintona offers 3 different languages in their curriculum: Indonesian, French and Japanese.
The six houses of Fintona are Boyne, Clark, Hughston, Murdoch, Maxwell and Ower.
