Fingerprints (2007) is a film by Harry Basil starring Leah Pipes, Kristin Cavallari, Josh Henderson, and Andrew Lawrence.
[edit] Synopsis
Fingerprints is based on an ancient myth out of San Antonio that centers around a school bus full of children that was involved in a terrible accident with a train leaving all the children dead. Supposedly if one were to stop their car in neutral on the same stretch of tracks now, the ghosts of the children will push it to a safe area. Some even claim to have discovered fingerprints on the back of their cars after being pushed off the tracks (The writers of this film grew up in Texas around this legend).
The movie centers around a teenage girl (played by Leah Pipes) who has just finished rehab. She moves-in with her sister (Kristin Cavallari), and they begin to investigate mysterious happenings occurring around their town possibly connected to the Texas legend. Judging by the amount of fake blood on the set, there will be plenty of gore and horror to go around.
[edit] Filming
Fingerprints was filmed throughout various towns in Oklahoma. Parts of the film center around Emerald High School that Cavallari attends in the fictional town of Emerald, Texas. All of these scenes were filmed inside the historic Harding High School building in Oklahoma City. In addition, scenes were filmed in the Heritage Hills neighborhood of Oklahoma City (another historic area), along with various other sites in Oklahoma city, and scenes were filmed in the town of Guthrie. Parts of the movie were even filmed in the Stone Lion Inn, an old hotel that is said to be haunted.
