I just about remember a movie I saw as a child. All I remember is it was a wartime film, probably American, and it was about a group of men who had been in a plane crash in a desert area. I think they split into 2 groups, one stays with the wreckage while another goes off for help, but they just end up back at the wreck. They can't get away at all and have no communication. I think at the end of the film a rescue party arrives, but it becomes apparent that all the crew of the crashed plane are ghosts, and as they realise this themselves, the rescue party (I think they are from many years after the war) start collecting bones from the dead mean and as they do, the ghosts disappear. At the very end of the movie, the rescue party leave but there is just one ghost left behind because the haven't found his bones......

I'd really like to see this film again, but I've no idea who was in it or what it was called. No-one I've asked about it seems to know what I'm talking about. I found a movie site once where people where talking about it, and some thought it was Twiglight Zone with William Shatner, it wasn't that one. And it wasn't Pheonix either.... any ideas?

So you're saying you searched for "Films About Ghosts", expecting to find a List of films about ghosts, but ended up at a Counting Crows album? LOL, I find that kind of amusing actually. Let's create the list, then? — FREAK OF NURxTURE (TALK) 07:12, 14 October 2005 (UTC)
