File Under Easy Listening (or F.U.E.L.) was a shortlived Alternative rock band formed in Belfast in 1998. The band consisted of Nathan Connolly, Aaron Ditty, Dave Magee and Peter Comfort. They were managed by BBC Radio 1 DJ Colin Murray.
The band first came to the attention of Bright Star Recordings when a mutual friend took a copy of an early track to Belfast's music guru, Johnny Davis. The band was subsequently booked for several gigs. One was on "Sessions of The Nation" on Radio Ulster.
F.U.E.L. recorded a four-track session at Windmill Lane Studios in Dublin for Radio 1 and in December 2000, they toured with Ash and Snow Patrol in Dublin, Cork, and Limerick.
In March 2001, F.U.E.L.'s first and only release, "Closure/Dryform" was released on Bright Star Recordings. It was a double A-side single with the songs "Closure" and "Dryform". Soon afterwards, the band split up.
Nathan Connolly is now a member of the Northern Irish/Scottish alternative rock band Snow Patrol.
