Fightball

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A real-time card game by James Ernest and Mike Selinker featuring gangs of futuristic basketball players. Each participant is a coach of a basketball team. Each holds a deck of cards, and when the game begins, both participants simultaneously play cards that feature players, balls, shots, and special effects. The goal is to score points by completing stacks, each featuring a player, a ball, and shot that add up to ten points or more.

The six decks in the Fightball series are:

  • The Dark, who dress like ninjas.
  • The Cavaliers, who dress like Musketeers.
  • The Aztecs, who dress like Aztec warriors.
  • The Cruisers, who dress like 1950s punks.
  • The Texas WIldcats, who dress like cheerleaders.
  • Team Sport, who dress in a variety of inappropriate sporting equipment.

Fightball is one of several real-time card games from James Ernest Games. Others include BRAWL and Falling.
