Fight On, State
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Fight On, State" is the official fight song of Penn State. It is most widely known for being played by the Penn State Blue Band after scores at football games, and during the band's pre-game show. It is designed specifically for being played after a touchdown, because it is played through once in its entirety, and then slows down quickly, and stops. It then resumes after the extra point is kicked by the team.
"New Fight On, State", known simply as NFOS, is a shortened version of the song that is played without the slowdown and pause.
[edit] Lyrics
- Fight on State!
- Fight on State!
- Strike your gait and win!
- Victory we predict for thee
- We're ever true to you dear old White and Blue.
- Onward, State!
- Onward, State!
- Roar, Lions, roar!
- We'll hit that line, roll up the score,
- Fight on to victory ever more,
- Fight on, on, on, on, on, Fight on, on, Penn State!
