Fight Club (musical)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fight Club (sometimes also referred to as Fight Club: The Musical) is a musical believed to be in development based on Chuck Palahniuk's novel Fight Club.
During readings of the books Stranger than Fiction and Haunted, Palahniuk reported that discussions were underway with 20th Century Fox regarding a Broadway musical version of his first novel. There is some evidence to suggest that discussions have been taking place since at least July 2004, with no progress happening in 12 months.
Names linked to the musical include the film's director David Fincher and the musician Trent Reznor, front man of musical group Nine Inch Nails. Fincher and Reznor have previously worked together as part of the video for the Nine Inch Nails single "Only".
Palahniuk is reportedly uninterested in further commercialisation of his novel, stating that the motivations for him are only the money and the opportunity to work with people such as Reznor and Fincher.
However, a bollywood musical has already been made loosely based on Fight Club. This 2006 film was titled "Fight Club: Members Only" directed by Vikram Chopra and starring Zayed Khan.
