[edit] Why is it important?
THe article needs to tie itself to why a non-actuary would care. That is, if the "type" is a shorthand for caution? Chivista 16:24, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] FightClub
The main character from fight club is the actuary for a car company, that should be listed here.--TheNation 17:24, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Aaaaarghh!!! He is not an actuary!! He's an expert on car crashes and what causes them!!!--Zoso Jade 13:14, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
I feel your angst...I am not an authority on fight club - I was just trying to move the debate from the main Actuary page. Interestingly - the Fight Club (film) page refers to him as an actuary. Perhaps an edit is required there. Actuarial disco boy 19:17, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
I note your edit on the Fight Club (film) page Actuarial disco boy 19:20, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Along Came Polly
Having just had the misfortune of watching Along Came Polly, I'm not sure he is an actuary. Certainly the word is not used in the movie (he is referred to as a 'risk assesment expert'). Does anyone have any evidence that Ben Stiller's character is an actuary? Actuarial disco boy 20:41, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
