In the fictional universe of the Deryni novels of Katherine Kurtz, Festil III Furstán-Festil was the ninth King of Gwynedd, reigning from 851 to 885. Known as "Festil Greybeard", he was the third member of the Deryni House of Festil to sit upon the throne of Gwynedd.

Festil Istvan Furstán-Festil was born on July 5, 818, the firstborn son and heir of Lord Festil II, the son of the Count of Fathane, and his wife, Chiara Marchesa de' Arabbia. In 822, the four-year-old Festil rose to the rank of Hereditary Prince of Gwynedd when his grandfather ascended to the throne of Gwynedd and was crowned King Festil I. In 839, Festil was created Duke of Lendour after his father, Festil II, succeeded his grandfather as King of Gwynedd. Twelve years later, Festil himself rose to the throne upon his father's death, officially crowned King Festil III on April 29, 851. He made a journey to Torenth in July of that year to formally acknowledge King Arpád of Torenth as Overlord of Gwynedd. Festil was a king well-versed in the art of diplomacy, and he spent much of his reign making treaties with neighboring kingdoms to work together in a unified defense against barbarian raids. He forged an alliance with King Gérard of Bremagne in 853, and met with King Lludd I of Llannedd in 856 to organize a joint defense strategy against the barbarians. Festil suffered a paralyzing stroke during a meeting with his lords of state in 878, and suffered from the effects for the rest of his life. Though he eventually recovered his ability to speak, he remained partially lame and slurry of speech thereafter. King Festil III Furstán-Festil died on March 6, 885, at the age of 66. He was succeeded by his eldest surviving son, Prince Blaine Festil-Furstán.
