Ferry Road

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ferry Road is one of the major roads of Edinburgh, Scotland, and is often referred to as an area in its own right. It runs between Crewe Toll roundabout in the west, and Leith in the east, running through Goldenacre on the way.

Notable features of the area include, in the west, Telford College's main campus, the former Northern General Hospital's site (now demolished for a supermarket, the Western General Hospital is also nearby), the playing fields of Fettes College, Stewarts Melville and other private schools to the south, a geriatric home of the Salvation Army, Goldenacre stadium etc.

The easterly part of Ferry Road, as far west as the junction with Telford Road, is classified as the A902.
