Ferguson Junior High School (Arlington, Texas)

Ferguson Junior High School is a middle school serving grades 7 through 8 located in Arlington, Texas and is part of the Arlington Independent School District. The current principal is David Tapia. The mascot of the school is the Titan, and the school colors are orange and blue. The school has received many great honors, such as Superior rankings for the Band at UIL, Superior rankings for the Orchestra, and the 8th Grade A football team went to the city championships last year. Ferguson is currently a TEA recognized campus, meaning the TAKS test scores were very great, having improved tremendously.

Many types of educational courses are availible at FJH. For the two grades that go to this school, there is a mandatory course for each, with other courses being at the student's discretion, with the exception of mandatory classes. For 7th graders, they must take 1 of 2 physical edcation classes-P.E., which is basic phys ed, or Ahtletics, which is sports teams. 8th graders must take 1 of 2 technology classes-Intro Tech/Computer Literacy, which the names explain, or Gateway to Technology, which is a class worth a high school credit.

Currently, the FJH electives and clubs are as follows: Orchestra, Band, Choir, Art, Spanish, French, Skills for Living, Environmental Club, Crimestoppers, NJHS, Yearbook Staff, Titan Triumph (the school newspaper), History Club, and Chess Club.
