Ferahgo the Assassin
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ferahgo the Assassin is a character from the Redwall book series. He is an anthropomorphic weasel.
Ferahgo is a dangerous killer, a master of knife throwing. Long ago, he killed the parents of Badger Lords Urthstripe the Strong and Urthwyte the Mighty. Years later, the assassin arrived in the northern lands, and sought to take over the mountain of Salamandastron. However, he found opposition in the form of Urthstripe and his army.
With his treacherous son Klitch, the poisoner fox Farran, and several other minions, the weasel laid siege to the mountain. However, he found himself beaten time and again. Later, when an army of Urthstripe's allies, led by his brother Urthwyte, arrived at the mountain, Urthstripe was set upon by the assasin, who caused fatal wounds to his head. However, he did manage to take his enemy with him, and thus perished Ferahgo, debatably the most deadly individual in Redwall history.
Ferahgo's weapons were a skinning knife and throwing knife. His most fearsome trait was his pair of blue eyes, and when he smiled, he became fiercer and crueler. His son Klitch planned to take over the horde from him, but shortly after his father's death, the young weasel succumbed to poison placed in the semi-full water barrel he hid in to escape the mountain.
The voice of Ferahgo was provided by Simon Smithies in the full-cast audiobook.
