Fenny Drayton

Fenny Drayton (formerly Drayton-on-the-Clay) is a village in Leicestershire in the district of Hinckley and Bosworth.

Fenny Drayton in on the A444 road north of Nuneaton close to its crossroads with the A5 – the Roman Watling Street; the village itself is crossed by another Roman Road. The Ordnance Survey hold that Lindley Hall Farm SP362964, near the village, is the centre point of England.

It was the childhood home of Religious Society of Friends founder George Fox.

Fenny Drayton used to have its own public house, first called the Casa Blanca but was later renamed the Royal Haven. The original site is now a housing estate.
