Fengyuan City

Fengyuan City (Traditional Chinese: 豐原市; Simplified Chinese: 丰原市; Hanyu Pinyin: Fēngyuán Shì; Tongyong Pinyin: Fōngyuán Shìh) is located in central Taichung County of Taiwan. It is the capital city of Taichung County.
Fengyuan is known for its food vendors in the area east of the temple Mā Zǔ Miào, 媽祖廟, also commonly known as Miào Dōng, 廟東, where you can get food and snacks from noon until the early morning. Fengyuan is also known for its abundance of cake shops. You can find many cake shops walking down just a few blocks on 中正路, Zhōng Zhèng Lù, Fengyuan's main street. The most famous cake is the pineapple cake, 鳳梨酥, Fèng Lí Sū
