FC Argeş is a football team based in the city of Piteşti, Romania. It is currently playing in Liga 1, formerly Divizia A. Argeş was one of the best Romanian clubs in the 1970s, when it won twice the national championship: in 1972 and 1979 and finished twice as runner-ups. The club has yet to win the Romanian Cup competition.
