Fazioli
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fazioli is a piano manufacturing company based in Sacile, Italy.
The company began in 1978 when a team of technicians, including acoustic physicists, wood technologists, piano makers and pianists was formed around the pianist and engineer promoter of the enterprise, Paolo Fazioli. Fazioli Pianoforti s.r.l. was formally established in January 1981.
They currently offer six models of grand pianos, the largest being the Fazioli F308, which at 3.08 m (10 ft 1 in) in length is the longest piano available on the general market.[1]
The Fazioli piano is notable for its vast breadth of sonic capability, permitting precise dynamic control. With a Fazioli, the pianist can transition from a delicate and lyrical pianissimo to a powerful and resonating fortissimo with minimal effort.
The Fazioli is also noted for its inclusion of a fourth pedal on the F308. This pedal, a Fazioli creation, brings the hammers closer to the strings, decreasing the volume while maintaining the normal tone.
