Talk:Father Jack Hackett

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Jack is a very violent man. He regularly throws punches and bottles. Unlike Father Ted and Father Dougal, Jack is not afraid of Bishop Brennan, and has even gone so far as to bloody his nose. It appears that they were once equals."

Reference for them appearing to be equals? I can think of nothing in the programmes themselves which indicates this. Perhaps something in the scripts? Toby Douglass 23:47, Apr 2, 2005 (UTC)

Just the way they act around each other.

Just the way they act around each other made me think it.--Crestville 19:33, 7 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I think that it was Bishop Brennan that made Jack into the drunk bitter man we see him as. Brennon is enough to drive any man insane.

  • Testiment to the beauty of the show that we can talk about them as if they have a history outside of what we see on TV! My guess is that Brennan screwed over Father Jack to get his promotion to Bishop. I assume that's what you're all getting at... Definitely POV though! - 81.100.216.53 03:15, 25 September 2005 (UTC)

Normally I hate that word, but this page is full of it. It needs to be encyclopediaified. --Simondrake 14:32, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

  • You're absolutely right Simondrake and I decided to "encyclopediaify" it. Cfslattery1 21:46, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
