Fateixa

Fateixa (Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC: Fatéxa, São Vicente Crioulo: Fateixa) is a rocky and treacherous coastline in the west of the island of São Vicente in Cape Verde. Fateixa is accessed only to SUV or agricultural vehicles meaning the road is unsafe and unpaved. Fateixa is located approximately 7 to 8 km from the city of Mindelo.

The area features a beach unsafe for swimmers, its soil is podzol or black and volcanically originated. Rocks covers the coastline making it a treacherous beach, the mountains including Monte Cara surround the area especially to the northeastern part. The area lacks vegetation due to its dry climate but receives little rainfall but the rocky soils does not provide vegetation. The rocky coastline bounds Fateixa.
