Fatehgarh is a city in Uttar Pradesh state of northern India. It is the administrative headquarters of Farrukhabad District. Fatehgarh derives its name from an old fort.It is a small city with no significant industial activity. The Indian army has a big establishment in the form of Rajput Regiment Center and Sikh light Infantry Center.The city is located on the right bank of Ganga River.

The Farrukhabad District consists of three tehsils, of which Fategarth is one. The other two are the tehsils of Farrukhabad and Amritpur.
