Earlier part of hisar,biggest district of haryana fatehabad was carved out as a new district in 1996. It is located on national highway no. which connect Delhi to fazilka via rohtak, hisar, hansi, sirsa and bhatinda.fatehabad district contitutes subdivision tohana and ratia . jakhal and bhuna being tehsils.
