Names do not carry any useful information and are determined purely by a random choice of parents or a naming party. Leaving something to randomness makes it very likely to be appropriated. (see probability factor)

Salman Rushdie : Salmon rush + die
- The salmon is a fish that migrates into the ocean to feed and as an adult travels uphill (upstream), against the force of the water, to spawn children and then to die. The salmon travelling upstream meet a younger generation travelling downstream on the way, but lacking the intelligence to communicate anything they don't.
- translation: peaceful-rich hundred-water
Bob Geldof : Geld doof -> Money [is] stupid.
- The [current] concept of money is flawed and could be replaced by something better (e.g. non-anonymous, ethically restricted currency)
Theo Waigel : Why Geld -> Why Money ?
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad : Mammoth + Amen + die {de} + nee {de} + schad {de} -> "Converting the infidels is the act of an extinct animal" (probably meaning it is out of fashion).

- [2] Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: The mattress globbered. This is the noise made by a live, swamp-dwelling mattress that is deeply moved by a story of personal tragedy. The word can also, according to The Ultra-Complete Maximegalon Dictionary of Every Language Ever, mean the noise made by the Lord High Sanvalvwag of Hollop on discovering that he has forgotten his wife's birthday for the second year running. Since there was only ever one Lord High Sanvalvwag of Hollop, and he never married, the word is only ever used in a negative or speculative sense, ....

Gavrilo Princip : the igniting torch of World War I
- "aus Prinzip" {de} -> "as a matter of principle"
- This could be phrased as "Say, you are going to war as a matter of principle, are you?"
Fastenrath :
- "Was denn Ra?" -> "What is it, Ra?"
- "Was den rat" -> "What he recommends"

Godot : Waiting for Godot (waiting for a very long time, for something that is not about to happen)
- God + OT -> "You can wait a long time for god to apply insufficient ethics." -- Phrased as a question this would be: "What are the observable, applied ethics of YHVH?"
- The whole YHVH language is a mess of ethical and logical flaws. Even if you accept the excuse that this is for educational purposes that doesn't change the fact that it is, to a degree, unethical and may lead to unethical behaviour of others.
- GO + dot -> walk! -- Just telling people to walk but without any explanation as to what it might exactly mean or any plan [1] how it is done is unlikely to have any widespread effect (you can wait a long time for that to happen).
