floating : to fly between extrem positions.

"You want to determine your desired position and then float", but not necessarily like this:

[1] floating currency may not be the optimum choice to build a fair society. A flying currency would be an ethical currency.
[2] I may have built one once but I told my employer beforehand that I wasn't good at circuitry.

[4] magnet:
  • mag' nett {de} -> "... like it nice ..."
  • mag' nett {BAR} -> "... don't like ..." -> the bikers don't like to be nice [5]
[5] overgeneralization and propaganda

floating point : "Are you sure you got the point of floating?"

Association: Occasionally you find recommendations to use inadequate floating point arithmetic for price calculations (see above).
  • Interpretation #1: "floating point does unexpected things to your money", e.g.:
    • too many decimal places: period or recurring decimal, also denoted by the "quer" symbol: (1/3 = 0.\overline{3})
    • money can get less without being used (floating point rounding error). Complement: That's not an error.
  • Interpretation #2: "You seem to assume the point of floating was that infinitesimal small amounts of money disappear from your accounts for not adequately analyzed reasons (-> purposes)?" [1]
[1] Donating money to arbitrary self-proclaimed charities is, of course, a complement. You want to be sure what happens to the money and how it solves either short-term or long-term problems in a satisfactory and reliable manner. Unfortunately that verification task is also time consuming and not very interesting for children. As much as you want individuals to define their budgets and financial goals, and possibly donate excess money, you want organizations who might receive the money to know their goals and only accept required funding. All you can eat is not a sane attitude on either side.
