FASTSIGNS® is a franchised, retail, business to business, sign and graphics company, headquartered in Carrollton, Texas and has over 500 franchised units in six countries -- the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Australia (operating under the SIGNWAVE®brand). The FASTSIGNS® concept was created in 1985 by Gary Salomon and his partner, the late Bob Schanbaum. Gary had been a franchisee of another business-to-business concept when Bob and he tested the concept of quick-turnaround signs and graphics.
By late 1987, there were three company-owned FASTSIGNS® centers in the Dallas metroplex. By that time, Gary was committed to growing the FASTSIGNS® brand through franchising. For health reasons, Gary’s business partner was forced to leave the business.
Since then, FASTSIGNS® has continued to expand the scope of its products and services by adding full-color digital printing (inkjet and solvent outputs), safety and identification products and exhibits, displays and car/truck graphics.
FASTSIGNS® is ranked second on the 2006 Franchise 50.
