[edit] Re: welcoming vandals

Just to let you know - you welcomed User:Bearsfan92 today, even though he is a new member with no constructive edits whatsoever. The 7 or so edits he has produced are all vandalism. Please check a user's edits before welcoming them to the community. Thanks. - GilliamJF 17:48, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Zelo Buon Persico

I don't speak english but your correction about Zelo Buon Persico is wrong!

You can verify the really coordinates at it.wiki.

[edit] Gatorland

Yes, I was in fact. I will try and keep up with it throughout the day. Have fun at class.--Daysleeper47 14:15, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thank you!

Thanks a lot for the barnstar! --The Great Llama talk 21:08, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vandal Welcoming

Just to let you know, you welcomed 147.226.218.32 who has done nothing but vandalize pages. Sorry. (If it makes you feel any better, I did that once too. --Farquaadhnchmn(Dungeon) 00:12, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Contrary to what you have been told by GilliamJF, it is Wikipedia policy to welcome new contributors and not bite them. We are told to assume good faith. Even if the contributions are obvious vandalism, what is wrong with stating that the user is welcome to contribute positively. Immediately reacting in a hostile manner is acting contrary to Wikipedia policy.
If you look closely at the message I left on 147.226.218.32's talk page, you will see that it combines a welcome message with a level 1 page blanking warning. I was fully aware that the first attempt from the user was undesirable, but I followed policy and assumed good faith.
Regards

[edit] Help Please

I just need to know what process I should go through in order to get my "defunct before it started" WikiProject temporary page deleted. I don't know if it should be a speedy deletion or proposed deletion. It's my own userpage and no one else has edited it.--Farquaadhnchmn(Dungeon) 19:29, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

If it is in your userspace then it probably comes under the speedy criteria. These can see seen at WP:CSD, U1 is for user pages, you can put {{db-userreq}} on those pages. --pgk 19:38, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vandal

Thank you for pointing that out. I use a tool called vandalproof and sometimes it misses reverts. If you see a mistake, you are welcome to revert to the proper version yourself! If you need help doing this, let me know. Keep up the great work! Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 01:28, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

well, i actually use vandalproof 2. I am on the list for both though. It depends on what mood I am in on how much I like it. It is very autonomous, and easy big buttons labeled "NOT vandalism" and an array of buttons labeled vandal and what warnings you want to give. The thing is, i usually manually revert, look at the history then glance at the revert to make sure it looks good. I cant do it with VP. But, i think the mass amounts of vandalism that you do catch may make up for the small margin of tricky vandalism. Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 01:34, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to VandalProof!

[edit] Screamhouse: Ressurection edit

I do not believe that the edit was necessary when you removed that it is believed that the body of the girl in the coffin is Cindy Cain. I did not say that it was her, simply that some believe that it is her. However, I shall not replace it unless you agree.74.230.100.190 00:56, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Thanks

Thank you for getting the Halloween Horror Nights articles together so we could split them. You did a good job with the split and it was a good time to put the articles back on the main encyclopedia. I'm glad I could do my part to help. Good job again. Phydend 01:49, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] PSP

Thank you for being nice enough to leave a message on my talk page. It turns out that the reason for missing that sixth case of vandalism was because of two different IP users, 68.184.92.254 (talk contribs) & 68.184.113.53 (talk contribs), and with VandalProof 2, it will only revert per one name/IP. Thank you nonetheless for your vigilance and keep it up. Cheers! -- moe.RON Let's talk | done 03:22, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Halloween Horror Nights Peer Review

I've peer reviewed the article (excellent job on it, by the way). It's my first one, so I wasn't completely sure what to put. I hope my comments will help you improve it! —The Great Llamamoo? 00:43, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
