[edit] Summary

Michael Faraday, nineteenth century scientist and electrician, shown delivering the British Royal Institution's Christmas Lecture for Juveniles during the Institution's Christmas break in 1856. The original artist is unknown. I would assume that this work is also the basis for the engraving on the 1991-93 20 pound note of Great Britain (w:Image:Farady20poundNote.png).
