Farm to Market Road 1847 or F.M. 1847 is a farm to market route in Cameron County, Texas.
[edit] History
F.M. 1847 was originally designated in 1951 from an unnamed intersection southward to Los Fresnos, Texas. The next year it was extended 10 miles south into the city of Brownsville. In 1963 it was extended another 10 miles northward, with another extension northward to Arroyo Colorado in 1967. This is its current extent, noting that all highway south of F.M. 3248 in Brownsville was technically converted to an Urban Road in 1995.
